One of the main challenges operating rooms currently face is poor room turnover times. Every minute an OR sits underutilized creates patient care delays and causes both financial and operational strains on the entire surgical department – from admission and registration, through pre-op, surgery and the PACU. Learn how TAGNOS solutions leverage a combination of real-time technologies, AI-machine learning and mobile communication to reduce its overall room turnover times.

Utilizing real-time data from automated alerts triggered by patients’ RFID wristbands, patient flow and room turnover insights are delivered to clinical care and logistics support teams to coordinate more effectively for optimized scheduled surgery times, collaborative workflows and faster care delivery.

Awards will be given out in eight categories and Adventist Health White Memorial has been nominated for the Best Health-Care RFID Implementation in conjunction with the OR room turnover work spearheaded by Randy Saad.  Award winners will be announced on April 4th at 1:00 p.m. in the exhibit hall.

  • Best Manufacturing RFID Implementation to improve manufacturing production or supply chain operations.

  • Best RFID Implementation (Other Industry) to cut costs, improve efficiencies or otherwise improve the way it does business from an industry other than retail, manufacturing, health care or logistics.
  • Best Use of RFID in a Product or Service to enhance an existing product or service, demonstrating how it is using RFID to provide additional value to its customers.
  • Best New Product from a hardware, software or service provider.
  • Special Achievement Award to the individual who has contributed to the advancement of the entire RFID industry.
